Scared script­less at the Clink

PER­FORM­ERS will take to the stage at the Clink The­atre on Satur­day night for one night only im­pro­vi­sa­tional com­edy show that sees those brave enough throw away their scripts to take part in a dy­namic game of spon­tane­ity and wit.

The no-holds barred Theatres­ports com­pe­ti­tion prom­ises never to be seen again com­edy, where top­ics for games are based on au­di­ence sug­ges­tions.

Per­form­ers will bat­tle head to head in a dar­ing com­pe­ti­tion of cre­ativ­ity and com­edy.

Local per­son­al­i­ties Bruno Ben­nett and Sean Cram will judge the per­for­mance of plucky com­peti­tors on the ba­sis of spon­tane­ity, comic tim­ing and en­ter­tain­ment value.

“Any­thing could and will hap­pen in the night,” or­gan­iser Ni­cole Carnaby from Trop­i­cal North The­atre Com­pany said.

“The per­form­ers in­volved a scared script­less.

“We en­cour­age the com­mu­nity to rally be­hind our brave en­ter­tain­ers and come and make a night of it.”

There are plenty of prizes for par­tic­i­pat­ing teams and for the best au­di­ence sug­ges­tions.

Theatres­ports will be held at the Clink The­atre on Satur­day with the bar opening at 6.30pm for pre-show drinks.
