THE Junior Sharks had a very successful sign-on with more than 130 kids joining the club according to the club’s president Jason Fasano.

“We even had kids join up last week to play, which is very exciting for us,” Fasano said.

“The club has gone from strength-to-strength with our club also being fortunate enough to have 13 of our top young players being selected to play for the Cairns Representative side this year.

“It is a great reward and recognition for the kids of the Mossman Junior Rugby League.

“It also shows that these guys do not need to go and join bigger clubs and can stay and support their home town and still get a chance to shine in the representative teams.”

The Peninsula teams will travel to Mackay this weekend for a series of tough games against other northern districts.
