Junior touch footy duo to contest state champs
TWO Junior Sharks have been chosen to represent Peninsula at the Queensland Schoolboys touch football carnival competition in Brisbane next month.
Their coach Adam Fischer said he was very happy for the boys and said that they deserved the spot as they have both been training hard and have shown a lot of dedication during the past few weeks.
Trazane Cobb-Fischer, 12, who plays five-eighth, said he was thrilled to be picked and is excited about going away to play.
“I just love the game and playing with my friends and going away will be fun and I will be trying hard to win,” Trazane said.
And his mate, Austin Tayley, 12, who plays in the centres, said he was just as keen to play away and to represent his region.
“We will have to work hard but this is a real thrill for me too - I love the sport and the chance it has given me to make some good mates,” Austin said.
