Sporting theatrics given huge support

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

THE second annual Theatresports competition was run by The Tropical North Theatre Company and presented at The Clink on Saturday night. It was very well attended, with audience and performers both thoroughly enjoying themselves. I just wanted to take this time to thank all the sponsors who kindly donated prizes for the event.

Even in our current economic climate, organisations throughout the local area were willing and able to help make the night a successful event by generously giving vouchers for use at their establishments. Thank you to all that supported us. It is very much appreciated. This support demonstrates we have a functional, tight-knit community and it makes me proud to be a part of it. A special mention to Pure Massage who gave a last minute prize!!

Theatresports, as a local event, aims to bring the community together to have some fun and a good laugh. Performers came from the drama classes run by The Tropical North Theatre Company as well as from Mossman State High School and the local community. Well done to all involved. Hopefully, we can do it all again next year.
