Amazing woman helps kids

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

THE reasons behind moving to a town differ from the reasons you stay and I found that elusive pot of gold on Sunday; the bombshell being, not that I found it, but where I found it; Bodies in Motion mid-year fundraiser at the Mossman Shire Hall.

Approximately 400 people filled the hall to support children of all shoe sizes, perform their own little piece of wonderful.

I watched on as Miss Saskia was the quintessence of professionalism well beyond her years, nurturing our youth to grow, develop and thrive through the joy of dance; This was set in motion through, what turns out to be, a reciprocal mentoring program Miss Saskia received growing up in our shire; raised in community of coaches, teachers, friends and family who nurtured her mind, trained her body and fuelled her passion; as her mother I thank you all.

She is amazing and we are all truly proud of the women she has become.

Therein lies the true wealth of our shire; generations of children with smiles of unreserved pride in themselves;
