UNDER 7

THE under 7’s Brothers White didn’t show so the whole game was against Brothers Blue. Man of the Match Fletcher MacDonald was strong in defence. Beau Paulke was the recipient of the Coaches award for his hard training ethic. All up, Mossman were the victors with 40-24 win against Brothers. Tries were scored by David Neller (2), Jack Hatfield (1), Wyatt Lourigan (6), Matthias Jackonia (1) and Jessie Frisina (1). EJ Bowen, Jack Hatfield, Wyatt Lourigan and Matthias Jackonia were brilliant at tackling and Leilani Pitt was brilliant all over the field. UNDER 8

The Under 8s had another great victory this weekend, defeating Brothers 24 to 16. The Brother’s side had a fire in their belly and were determined to beat the Sharks but the Sharkies were just too good with tries from Kye Dury (2), Tyson Osborne, Malachi Jakonia, Brodie Francis and Kahlen Marr. Determined ball running from Jayden earned him this week’s Man of the Match and the Coaches Award went to the unstoppable Kye for his outstanding 26 tackles and two tries. UNDER 9

MAN of the Match recipient Ethan Pitt directed the team around very well. Lafe Hatfield had another outstanding game in attack and defence. The team will have to put in a much bigger effort at training if they are to turn their season around. UNDER 10

The Under 10’s won on a forfeit against Brothers Blue. UNDER 11

Under 11’s 1-6 win against Suburbs was built on poor ball discipline but outstanding defence. With the local boys undefeated and heading off to Townsville for the Laurie Spina Cup, the team really has to learn to complete their sets as their defence will be tested. Man of the Match Lachlan Buzza leads the team in defence every week with his hard runninge. Coaches mention to new sharky Jai Miller who made some good tackles and Payton Adams who turned over the ball late in the game but made up for it with a classic front on tackle to turn over possession. UNDER 12

The Under 12’s were back in form on Saturday against Kangaroos. Austen Tayley was sensational and almost unstoppable. Kangaroos started out really strong, but the Mossman Boys showed them that they were bigger and fitter. Anthony Slawson was tackling hard and Scotty Bowen took some great catches in his first game of the season. Tries to Zachary Osborne (2), Austen Tayley (2), Phoenix Solomon (1), and conversions by Zachary and Trazane CobbFischer saw the Sharks win 24 -14. UNDER 13

The u13’s had their first loss of the season going down to reigning premiers, Kangaroos, 30-14. The boys failed to complete the first set from the kick off ,which led to a Kangaroos try in the first 5 minutes. This set the tone for the next 20 minutes and Roos ran in 4 more unanswered tries before Wayne Oui crashed over to get the Sharks on the board. Man of the match went to the big little man, Elijah Royee ,who played his last game for the Sharks and player’s player again went to Wayne Oui. UNDER 15 THE Sharks lost to their arch rivals Ivanhoes on the weekend.

The same mistakes seen all year appeared and they found themselves on the backfoot as the Ivanhoes raced to an 18-0 lead after twenty minutes.

The final score was 28-16, Jake McCormack scored twice and Dwar Creek scored once, Quinlyn kicked two goals. Dwar Creek was awarded man of the match for his great effort.
