Uke fest floats to Low Isles

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - ENTERTAINMENT -

UKULELE lovers are in for a treat when the Cairns Ukulele Festival floats over to Low Isles for a day of fun in the sun, surf and sand today.

The new event added to the beginning of the popular festival is called the Wave Dancer Low Isles Ukulele Cruise and will have ukulele performances on the Great Barrier Reef.

Hawaii’s Derick Sebastian and Canada’s Manitoba Hal are both accomplished uku- lele musicians who will entertain with their cool melodic sounds or jam with ukulele aficionados under the shade of a thatched umbrella.

The day will include meals, snorkelling and equipment, glass bottom boat coral viewing tour, guided Low isles island walks and performances.

For more information phone Quicksilver on 4087 2100 or visit cairnsukulelefestival. net.
