DOM­I­NA­TION took place this week on court 1 with Rat­tle de­feat­ing Crocs 1 by 41- 12.

Rat­tle started strong and fin­ished the same, win­ning each quar­ter.

Rat­tle’s Amy Wat­son was named best and fairest for her strong mid­court work.

The sec­ond division 1 game for the night be­tween Cougars and Young Guns saw the Guns come out on top with 38-24.

De­spite the de­feat, the Cougars fought back win­ning the last quar­ter, prov­ing their de­ter­mi­na­tion and pas­sion.

The Guns’ Bec Nel­son was named both play­ers’ choice and best and fairest and Cassie Cairns be­ing awarded best and fairest for Cougars with her mid-court work.

Crocs 2 and Gun­nars pro­vided a close game for the division 2 spec­ta­tors with the Crocs win­ning the last quar­ter giv­ing them vic­tory with 14-8. Best and fairest was given to the de­fence play­ers in both teams with the Crocs’ Emily Phillips and Gun­nars’ Treveen Page.

Rep­tos de­feated Bits ’n’ Pieces with a strong 26-12 score. Rep­tos re­mained the dom­i­nate lead­ers throughout the game with their strong de­fence and im­press­ing shoot­ing. Emma Ste­viano kept the ball rolling with her in­ten­sity as cen­tre and was named best and fairest for the Rep­tos.

Jets and Ring Ins both started the game with even scor­ing and by the sec­ond quar­ter, the Jets took the lead and from there im­proved both their at­tack­ing and de­fen­sive plays and came out on top with a 19-12 vic­tory.

Best and fairest was awarded to de­fen­sive play­ers Karla Lo­gan from Jets and Suzie Woods from Ring Ins for their im­pres­sive im­prove­ment in the game.

Wolver­ines dom­i­nated the Break­ers on court 3 with an ex­cit­ing win of 37-9. The Wolver­ines started out strong and im­proved with each quar­ter. Both WAs from each team, Wolver­ines’ Margy Brady and Break­ers’ Am­ber Ed­monds were awarded best and fairest.
