Woes on the range

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FEEDBACK -

THE costly and ineffective roadworks on the Rex Range continues to drag on.

The two electronic signboards are costing $96,600 a year and the two traffic lights are costing $90,000 a year from Coates Hire, on top of occasional traffic control personnel.

On Saturday one set of lights was stuck on green and so uphill traffic continued driving through whereas downhill traffic was continually backing up.

Some friends of mine called me while stuck at the lights for 10 minutes not knowing what to do.
