Kid stalker wanted by po­lice

PO­LICE have con­ducted mul­ti­ple pa­trols around Port Gar­dens and Reef Park af­ter it was re­ported chil­dren were ap­proached by a man in a ve­hi­cle in two sep­a­rate in­ci­dents.

The first in­ci­dent oc­curred on July 16 when a man in a black util­ity with Queens­land plates ap­proached a child on Old Port Rd and the man al­legedly yelled at the child to get in the car, which he ig­nored.

The sec­ond in­ci­dent oc­curred the fol­low­ing day be­tween Old Port Rd and Port Dou­glas Rd when a dif­fer­ent child was ap­proached by the same ve­hi­cle and this time the man al­legedly yelled abuse be­fore driv­ing away.

Po­lice said the man made no at­tempts to get out of the car. He is de­scribed as in­dige­nous, 30-35 years of age, pro­por­tion­ate build and driv­ing util­ity be­lieved to be a 2000-model Holden.
