THE Dain­tree should see sev­eral projects start this year af­ter the bud­get an­nounced $500,000 for two dif­fer­ent projects, $1.8 mil­lion for Woobadda Creek cross­ing and $180,000 to up­grade black spot tow­ers and im­prove tele­vi­sion re­cep­tion.

The Dain­tree Gate­way project will be able to start with $500,000 expected to be used to­wards sig­nage and land­scap­ing, but it is re­ported coun­cil are de­pend­ing on the ap­proval of a grant to help with the first stage.

The other $500,000 project an­nounced is the Dain­tree in­take walk­way, which will be used to build a safe road to ac­cess the Dain­tree Vil­lage’s wa­ter sup­ply, to make the area more ac­ces­si­ble and safer for coun­cil work­ers.

Apart from these ma­jor projects, there will be sev­eral smaller projects in­clud­ing road widen­ing at Dead­man’s Gully Rd and re­con­struc­tion of Quan­dong Rd.
