The coaches’ awards went to Taj, Tam and Angus. And a special mention to all our Under-8s who assisted the North Cairns’ team with player numbers. WITH two games to play in a day, the Under-12 Crocs knew that they had some serious work to do on Sunday in Cairns.

Their first match against Cairns Centrals Red saw the Crocs take an early lead that they held on to for the remainder of the game.

Brayden Wall kicked a couple of early goals, stamping the Crocs authority on the game early. He was well supported by Ryan, Rueben and Jack who all showed their desire to win the ball in contested situations. The Crocs ran out winners by five goals.

After a short break the boys fronted up for their second game of the day against Pyramid Power.

In a fast paced first quarter the Crocs were simply out run as their quick opponents consistently beat them to the ball.

To the credit of all players they stepped up to the challenge, proving that the Under-12 Crocs are a team of significant character.

In the second quarter the boys lifted their intensity and by the third quarter their on-field team talk saw them apply some serious pressure on the opposition.

Just minutes before the final siren, Brody Taylor put through a terrific goal that was enjoyed by the crowd of supporters on the sidelines.

Despite this late goal, Pyramid Power proved too strong on day, running away with a solid victory.

The Crocs have a home game this week.
