Jnr Sharks match report
Coaches mention to every player whose attitude at training has improved dramatically along with their fitness, with great work put in by trainer Danny Buzza. and Campbell Alan with a conversion by Trazane Cobb.
Man of the match was Tom Allen and the players’ player award was split between Tom Allen and Wayne Oui. first half remaining the Sharks went to sleep and allowed the Storm to run in three easy tries and go to the break leading 24-18.
Edmonton was sitting in third on the ladder and a loss could have seen them drop out of the four and at halftime the game was there for the taking for either team.
Unfortunately Jake McCormack left the field early after the break with a fractured hand and with several Sharks players severely fluaffected the Storm’s desire to play in the semis became obvious as they ran away with game claiming a 52-30 victory.
Although it was another disappointing loss for the young Sharks the boys can hold their heads up for the commitment they have shown to each other all year and in the last home game of the year it great to see the hard working Wynn Adams cross for his first try of the year.
Quinlyn Cannon scored four times with one of these tries coming off a short kick off where he regathered the ball, ran and stepped through the Storm’s defence and crashed over next to the posts.
A special mention goes to Dicky Jackson and Jaggar Ablett who were both severely ill with the flu but still wanted to play for their team.
Man of the match went to Jaggar Ablett for his mighty effort.
