Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - BUSINESS -

DOZENS of supporters were given the first glimpse of the new Lineburner television series which will showcase the Douglas region to the rest of the country from next week.

Producer Lynton “Heff” Heffner and director David Vivian showcased the best of the 10-part series to a local audience at the Central Hotel last Friday before the program debuts at 8.30pm on Monday on Channel 183 on Foxtel and Austar.

The one-hour episodes feature much more than simply fishing, with Heff and the team focusing on the best of the tropics including camping, off-road adventures, quirky local characters and interesting facts about the region.

“We got a good reception and we’re confident people will relate to our candid approach,” Heff said.

“It’s a whole lot more than just fishing and will be a great promotion for the area.”
