Stu­dio X and Y get spe­cial sem­i­nar

THE team at Port Dou­glas Stu­dio X and Y hair­dressers were treated to a spe­cial sem­i­nar by hair gi­ant “Se­bas­tian” this week, con­ducted by in­ter­na­tional ed­u­ca­tor Na­dine Johns-al­cock. Na­dine, Core Ur­ban Artist for Se- bas­tian and owner of two Bris­bane ’Rock­star’ sa­lons vis­ited Stu­dio X to teach new styling and cut­ting tech­niques, in con­junc­tion with Se­bas­tian’s lat­est ranges. Manger of Stu­dio X Jodie Nulty was priv­i­leged to have the Se­bas­tian team travel to Port Dou­glas. “We nor­mally have to travel to Cairns and Bris­bane for such sem­i­nars,” she said. “We’ve also been learn­ing Avante Garde up-styling tech­niques.” The team styled four lo­cal Moss­man high school mod­els - Kahlee Tesch, Hazuki Kirby, Estha Nulty, Jade Harold - who were then whisked away in a limou­sine to take to the cat­walk at the Sebel Cairns, as part of a night of ed­u­ca­tion and in­spi­ra­tion for re­gional hair­dressers.
