FOR a touch of class, en­joy Mel­bourne Cup day in trop­i­cal sur­round­ings at the Mel­bourne cup cock­tail lun­cheon and party at OTZ Ni­ra­maya. An in­dul­gent oys­ter and cham­pagne bar will be set up, with lun­cheon day race food on of­fer such as lux­u­ri­ous lob­ster sand­wiches and chicken galan­tine. Tick­ets are priced at $80 per head, which in­clude a glass of cham­pagne on ar­rival. Wide screen TVs does will en­sure you don’t miss out on any of the race ac­tion, as you sip cham­pagne in the air-con­di­tioned venue. “We’re of­fer­ing some­thing dif­fer­ent here at OTZ Ni­ra­maya, recre­at­ing the real feel of at­tend­ing the Mel­bourne cup races,” owner Karen Fines said. The day kicks off at 11am, with sweeps, a cal­cutta and fash­ions on the field prizes.
