Mossman Golf Club wishes to thank all those who participated in the inaugural “Chisel’s Fun Day” to make it such a great event. Thanks go to the Mossman Branch of Cairns Hardware and Taubmans Paints for sponsoring the day, and the Legacy team who provided great BBQ food throughout the day. All are welcome to the Charity Day for Miallo State School on Sunday. The cost is $35 per player for an Ambrose event including BBQ lunch.

Tuesday saw the second and final round of the Tuesday Championships.
The daily winner was Charlie McSween with net 71 ahead of Graham Cook with net 72 on a count-back to Phil Holloway and Greg Walker.
Nearest the pins - Greg on six, Brian “Boof” MacDonald on eight, Bruce Cheesman on 10, Wayne Dowell on 13 and Art Howard on 17.
The Tuesday Championship was won by Phil Holloway ahead of Mal Phillips and Geoff Parmenter.

The winner of Wednesday’s nine hole event was Fred Oakes with 23 points, ahead of Dennis Blake with 22 points on a count-back to Helen Gabour and Rod Donovan.
Nearest the pins was Fred on 17.
Thursday’s event was the second and final round of the Ladies Thursday Championships.
A magnificent round by Gayle Healey of net 63 prevailed on the day, second place Shona Barbour net 70 , Kerri-Lynn Williams net 74 and Narelle Johnson net 76.
Nearest the pins was KerriLynn on six, 10 & 13, Bev Cowe on eight and Gayle on 17.
The Thursday Championship was won by Gayle Healey and runner-up Shona Barbour.
The Friday Frolic (nine holes golf, shared motorised buggy and six pack in ice to share for $30 per player) was enjoyed by plenty of social players.
For players with handicaps, the competition was won by Sally Reason on a count-back to Peter Gray.
Saturday’s Ambrose event was won by Daniel Coulthard, Matty Coulthard, Elijah Boon and Zac Hoare with a net 56 1/8th just edging out Geoff Goodwin, Brendon Wood, Hughie Collins and Irene Denholm.
In third place, John Cameron, Shona Barbour, Geoff Parmenter and Alison Diamond ahead of Judy McCormack, Daniel McCormack, Mark McCormack and Pris Freeman.
Nearest the pins was Ian “Pugsley” Johnson on six, John Petherbridge on eight, Jeff Bochow on ten, Daniel McCormack on 13 and Daniel Coulthard on 17.
Ladies Nearest the pins was Trish Landy on eight, Patti Graham on 10, Leonie Phillips on 13 and Alison Diamond on 17.
A small field competed on Sunday, and Sally Reason took home the voucher with 35 points on a count-back to Shona Barbour.
