Am­bos get new 4WD am­bu­lance

MOSS­MAN Am­bu­lance Ser­vice was gifted a new spe­cially de­signed Toy­ota four-wheel-drive am­bu­lance yes­ter­day, of­fi­cially re­ceiv­ing the keys from lo­cal Mem­ber for Cook David Kemp­ton on be­half of the State Gov­ern­ment. Queens­land Am­bu­lance Ser­vice paramedics were heav­ily in­volved with the de­sign and lay­out of the $242,000 ve­hi­cle to guar­an­tee a safe and prac­ti­cal en­vi­ron­ment for qual­ity pa­tient care. Prom­i­nent fea­tures in­clude a winch and re­cov­ery equip­ment should this be re­quired when re­spond­ing to in­ci­dents off-road and a re­frig­er­ated com­part­ment for main­tain­ing pa­tient med­i­ca­tion and drugs at the cor­rect tem­per­a­ture
