Case adjourned for evidence
THE 30-YEAR- OLD man accused of king-hitting a man on the footpath in front of the Iron Bar in August has had his case adjourned and will be calling on evidence.
Luke Vidito put in a guilty plea after being charged with the offence after allegedly punching the victim in the face once. The victim fell and hit his head on the ground and received a fractured skull and bleeding to the brain.
Police prosecutor Brad Hafner described the incident from a surveillance tape and said the victim showed no aggression.
Mr Vidito’s lawyer Michael Bolt said his defendant was provoked by the victim and said there was a verbal argument.
Magistrate Braes adjourned the matter until November 22.
