Police blitz on unlicensed driving
MOSSMAN and Port Douglas Police are reminding people to check vehicle and licence expiry dates and making sure your vehicle is insured after intercepting nine vehicles in three days driving around the region unregistered and uninsured. A 39-year-old Julatten woman was in- tercepted on Captain Cook Highway near Craiglie driving unregistered and uninsured on October 16 around 1pm. The following afternoon around 5pm, a 45-year-old Mossman was intercepted in South Mossman driving unregistered, uninsured and with cancelled plates and then around 9.45pm a 22-year-old Port Douglas woman was intercepted on Port Douglas Rd driving an unregistered, uninsured vehicle. Meanwhile in Port Douglas, four people were given notices to appear in court for driving unregistered and uninsured ve- hicles around Port Douglas.
