It’s shameful

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

I HAVE just returned from a trip away and was very sad and disappointed to see your page 3 article in the Gazette which states the “fish died during the fight” ( Gazette, October 11).

Shouldn’t it have read that the “fish was killed while being dragged around the ocean just for sport”?

How can a person say they had to fight this beautiful creature when it had no means of retaliation? They are not monsters.

Shouldn’t it be looked upon with shame like whaling? I’m sure our local tourist industry does not need this kind of adverse publicity.
