As Christ­mas and the warmer weather ap­proaches, lo­cals know where to go to sit back in the shade with a cold drink, cool­ing sea breezes beau­ti­ful views out to the blue Co­ral Sea and white sands of Four Mile Beach. Penin­sula Bou­tique Ho­tel’s ocean­front res­tau­rant Hi Tide is the lo­cal’s “best-kept se­cret”. Break­fast is served un­til noon, with the menu in­clud­ing their own unique veg­etable hash browns, eggs bene­dict, floren­tines and deca­dent smoked salmon eggs royale driz­zled with home­made hol­landaise sauce. “At mid­day we drift into lunch and the Co­ral Sea lights up - a beau­ti­ful view we are proud of,” man­ager Jeremy Parer said. Hi tide changes its din­ner menu with pop­u­lar themes, which in­clude seafood night on Tuesdays, locally fa­mous curry nights on Wed­nes­day and Surf ’n Turf nights on Fri­day with a tempt­ing a-la-carte menu al­ways avail­able.

“The front deck is peace­ful, with mag­nif­i­cent views, great food, drinks and $10 sun­set cock­tails be­tween 4.30pm - 6pm,” said Jeremy. Book­ings are es­sen­tial to avoid dis­ap­point­ment, contact 4099 9100.
