APRES Beach Bar and Grill have fully em­braced the con­cept of “reef feast”, of­fer­ing beach views while show­cas­ing lo­cal trop­i­cal pro­duce. Food­ies will be tempted with a taste of croc­o­dile bit­ter­balls, kan­ga­roo pas­trami on su­gar cane skew­ers and lo­cal prawns. Sit­u­ated in the heart of the Palm Cove es­planade, the beach­side bar and grill will be host­ing a fam­ily fun day on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 28, com­plete with live en­ter­tain­ment and a wel­com­ing, laid­back at­mos­phere. “We re­ally want to en­cour­age fam­i­lies to come along and join in the fun,” coowner Jen Malone said. “Along with the tastes on of­fer, we will be serv­ing our full lunch, din­ner, bar and pub menu, with food pro­vided all day, and hope to meet lots of Port Dou­glas faces.” Lunch is served from noon - 3.30pm, and din­ner from 5.30pm, promis­ing the best lo­cal flavours and pro­duce, in­clud­ing spe­cial­ity steaks locally sourced from the Ather­ton Table­lands and lots of child-friendly choices. Come along, sip a beer or cock­tail, and lis­ten to the sooth­ing sounds of res­i­dent mu­si­cian Marty Bell, who will be per­form­ing be­tween noon-4pm on Sun­day, all while in­dulging in the beach­side am­bi­ence and in­cred­i­ble views.
