The traditional surf carnival style of trials will take place with both water and sand events including swim boards, iron person, sprints, flags, relays and board rescues.

‘‘The kids are fit and very keen to get involved with the competition in Hervey Bay,’’ said Nippers president Brian Markham.

‘‘They work hard and train all year around, so I think they are ready for this. It’s a full on three day competition, I feel the kids are going to be very tired once its over.’’
