Raine & Horne sweep awards

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - REAL ESTATE -

THE Raine and Horne offices in Port Douglas and Mossman have been judged among the best in the state for the real estate brand.

The local team team travelled to Brisbane recently for the annual Raine and Horne Real Estate Queensland Awards, which recognise dedicated work and achievements of teams and individuals over the last 12 months.

Raine and Horne Mossman-Port Douglas picked up two office and five individual awards at the gala ceremony, including third top office for number of sales and fourth top office for value of sales throughout Queensland.

Mark Whitlam picked up a handful of individual honours including rookie of the year and was fifth in Queensland for the number of sales achieved and 10th for the value of sales while Jocelyn Schumacher was honoured with the Chairman’s Club 2012 for property management and Kate Dillon awarded outstanding office support 2012.

Managing director Travis Schumacher said the awards were a tribute to the whole team considering the tough market conditions experienced in the region in the last few years.

‘‘I was particularly impressed with the individual awards picked up by our staff,’’ he said.

Fellow director and licensee David Cotton said he was overwhelmed with the achievements of their staff considering they were up against 64 Raine and Horne branches throughout Queensland.

‘‘Our agency started with one office in Mossman, expanding to a second office in Port Douglas and nine staff all within three years,’’ he said.
