Flames cel­e­brates its 10th birth­day

FLAMES OF the For­est re­opens this week af­ter its tem­po­rary clo­sure for its an­nual re­fur­bish­ment.

There’s ex­tra rea­son to cel­e­brate as it marks 10 years of op­er­a­tion in its stun­ning trop­i­cal rain­for­est venue of Far North Queens­land.

In that time over 60,000 leisure and busi­ness guests have dined in the spe­cial pocket of can­dle-lit rain­for­est.

The 2013 re­fur­bish­ment has in­cluded the up­dat­ing and in­stal­la­tion of dec­o­ra­tive light­ing, in­clud­ing an in­creased num­ber of bud-light stars and a thor­ough over­haul of the bath- rooms.

Also up­dated is the menu and din­ing op­tions with ex­ec­u­tive chef David Spencer in­creas­ing the pres­ence of trop­i­cal pro­duce.
