Sher­a­ton host a can­dlelit buf­fet for Earth Hour

SHER­A­TON Mi­rage Port Dou­glas Re­sort is do­ing their bit for the global en­vi­ron­men­tal aware­ness event Earth Hour on Satur­day night. Cre­ated by World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 2007, last year saw Earth Hour ex­pe­ri­ence its big­gest growth since 2009 with a record 7001 cities and towns in 152 coun­tries and ter­ri­to­ries across all seven con­ti­nents join in a global dis­play of cli­mate ac­tion. The Sher­a­ton i s host­ing a de­li­cious seafood buf­fet din­ner by can­dle light on Satur­day night at La­goons restau­rant as the lights go out around the world in cel­e­bra­tion and con­tem­pla­tion of the planet for only $79 per per­son. ‘‘Ho­tels and re­sorts around the world big and small alike are trail­blaz­ing their way to a sus­tain­able fu­ture with en­vi­ron­men­tal ac­tions that go be­yond Earth Hour and ev­ery ef­fort counts,’’ Sher­a­ton Mi­rage di­rec­tor of sales and mar­ket­ing Elena Fra­gasso said. ‘‘We have cre­ated an at­mos­phere ev­ery­one will en­joy - acous­tics sounds, great food and wine.’’
