DNA tri­als set new records

DOU­GLAS Net­ball As­so­ci­a­tion has held tri­als for Ju­nior Mar­lin se­lec­tion at the Moss­man In­door Sports com­plex.

A record 12 play­ers were se­lected to at­tend the Ju­nior Mar­lins camps.

The Ju­nior Mar­lins pro­gram is now in its third year and is a lead-up to the Academy pro­gram. The play­ers cho­sen are ex­pected to show a pos­i­tive and pro­fes­sional at­ti­tude, on­go­ing abil­ity and ath­leti­cism through a home prgram

The play­ers will at­tend four camps through­out the year, at which they’re ex­pected to show the devel­op­ment coaches the im­provem­nts made. The girls have com­pleted the first camp of the year, held last Sun­day, where former Aus­tralian Net­ball cap­tain Vicki Wil­son put them tho­rugh their paces. The DNA Ju­nior Mar­lin squad for 2013 is Lana Bax­ter, Mikaela Good­win, Bon­nie Fran­cis, Ella Dodds, Piper Adams, Bronte and Sasha Lowen­stein-Jones, Tiah McLean, Madi­son Malone, Tyler Mous, Sa­maria Den­man and Rae Page.
