UN­DER the ban­ner of Work­force Fu­tures, QTIC is work­ing in part­ner­ship with Ser­vice Skills Aus­tralia and other key in­dus­try part­ners to de­liver a prac­ti­cal ap­proach ad­dress­ing labour and skills is­sues for the tourism and hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­tries across Queens­land.

The Work­force Fu­tures pro­gram is open to op­er­a­tors of all sizes pro­vid­ing work­force devel­op­ment so­lu­tions spe­cific to the busi­ness’ re­quire­ments and ap­pro­pri­ate to their needs. At the cen­tre of the pro­gram is a net­work of 100 in­dus­try Skills Ad­vi­sors drawn from a part­ner­ship of in­dus­try as­so­ci­a­tions. Ac­cess to the Work­force Fu­tures Skills Ad­vi­sor Net­work ser­vice is fully funded and free of charge to busi­nesses.

The pro­gram has re­ceived $4.6 mil­lion for tar­geted skills devel­op­ment funded through the Na­tional Work­force Devel­op­ment Fund. This will al­low for the up­take of 1200 train­ing places by busi­nesses who par­tic­i­pate in the Skills Ad­vi­sory process. To get the ball rolling reg­is­ter on­line at­force­fu­­dus­try.
