Under-6s too slick

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - CLASSIFIEDS -

THE Under-6 Sharkies took on Ivanhoes in wet conditions at the Mossman Showgrounds last Saturday and gave the opposition a real lesson in how to play footy in a disciplined and well-behaved manner.

The young Sharks have been training well over the last few weeks showing tremendous improvement in their game in both defence and attack.

Marlon Bellero put in another big effort on the day pulling off some of the best tackles so far this year.

EJ Bowen and Kyan Alveon ran in some spectacular long-range tries leaving the Ivanhoes defence well behind and Ryder Smith also made a darting run around the Ivanhoes boys to score his first ever try.

Newcomers Zane and Kaden put in terrific efforts for their first games of footy alongside ‘‘Big Bad’’ Wadey Hawkins, and as usual Zavan Salam played a good hard game.

Man of the Match went to Caleb Uerata for his determined ball running taking on the much bigger opposition without fear.
