Diesel dishing out 25 years of big hits

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

AUSSIE rock legend Diesel will be at the mercy of the audience when he takes to the stage with his trusty guitar at the Ironbar tonight.

Diesel, who has over 25 years experience in the music industry and a long list of certified hits including Crying Shame, Tip of my Tongue and Soul Revival, will let the audience choose his set list as he kicks off his latest tour with a onenight-only show in Port Douglas.

He said he was nervous about getting out of his comfort zone but hoped his fans were creative with their requests.

‘‘I want people to pick the more obscure, favourites they had on records they wouldn’t normally get to hear at a live show,’’ he said.

‘‘These type of tours really gives me an indication of what my fans like, which is cool.’’

He has also promised to belt out a few covers of his favourite artists such as Neil Young and Jimi Hendrix who have influenced him over the years.

Tickets are still available at $30 each. For more information go to www.ironbarportdouglas.com.au or call 4099 4776.
