Fashionistas set to take over Carnivale
A STYLISH new look fashion event is on the bill for Carnivale this year.
Modele 13 is adapted from the successful 5Senses event and launches at the Sugar Wharf on May 21 with fashion, champagne and panache.
The new event has been designed to focus on fun and fashion for men and women.
Fashion from the likes of Attitudes Boutique, TUSK, The Eye, Tshinta, Lorna Jane, Kev Sackleys Mensland and Charlee Can will be modelled by some serious local eye candy, providing maximum fashion, total glamour, hairstyles by Jennifer Campbell and a few surprises.
Event organiser Claire Tierney said the evening was a great excuse to get dres- sed up and get into the Carnivale spirit.
‘‘This event is total glam and a great way to enjoy time with the girls,’’ she said.
‘‘It is also a great opportunity to see the latest fashion.
‘‘The name has changed, the event has transformed but the fashion remains the motivation.’’
Guests can revel in the ambience of one of Port’s premiere locations and mingle on the outdoor decking overlooking the Coral Sea, while listening to some groovy music and enjoying a complimentary glass of champagne.
Best in Show prizes for the guests with the best shoes, best frock and best jewellery are just a few of the awards to be handed out during the parade.
Harrisons, Salsa and Seabean are inviting guests to their place for dinner before and after the show.
Modele 13 will be held at the Sugar Wharf on Tuesday, May 21, from 6.30pm. Tickets are $25 for adults or $18 for under 18s and are available at Origin Espresso in Port Douglas, Goodies Cafe in Mossman or online at www. trybooking. com/ CRMB.
