Dig deep to help play happen
JUTE Theatre is asking audiences to dig deep to help Douglas Robins share his story before it is too late.
Douglas has a rare disease called Duchenne muscular dystrophy, which affects around in 3500 males and results in muscle degeneration and eventual death.
The average life span for people with DMD is 25 years and now Douglas, who is 25, wants to share his story through theatre with his play Propelled.
Propelled will be a play featuring Doug, it will give an insight into a life in a wheelchair and help change the perception of people with disability.
But he needs $11,000 to make it happen.
For more information and to pledge to get Doug’s story onto the stage go to www.jute.com.au.
