Golfers urged to get in swing

THE an­nual Port Dou­glas Car­ni­vale Golf Tour­na­ment is back, with this year’s par­tic­pat­ing cour­ses the Palmer Sea Reef and the Moss­man Golf Club.

Whether you are a hacker or are proud to have a low hand­i­cap, the event prom­ises lots of fun, great com­pe­ti­tion as well as daily and over­all prizes for near­est the pin and best-dressed teams.

The first day of com­pe­ti­tion will com­prise a team four-ball elim­i­na­tion am­brose event at the Moss­man Golf Club, with day two at the Palmer Sea Reef course.

Teams can en­ter for one or both days of com­pe­ti­tion, and teams can be mixed or all male and fe­male.

Cost is $190 per per­son to play both days and in­cludes green fees, or $69 per player at Moss­man and $139 at Palmer Sea Reef.

Sun­day May 19 at Moss­man Golf Club, 12.30pm for shot­gun start. Mon­day, May 20 at Palmer Sea Reef, 9.30am for shot­gun start.
