Moss­man ready for Car­ni­vale

MOSS­MAN Golf Club will host Day 1 of the Car­ni­vale golf tour­na­ment on Sun­day, May 19 and in­di­vid­u­als and teams are en­cour­aged to sign up with some great prizes on of­fer.

The Club is again host­ing free ju­nior clin­ics each Tues­day from 5-6pm for young­sters aged six to 17 years. Please call Ge­off Good­win for fur­ther de­tails on 0418 456 901.

Tues­day’s sta­ble­ford was won by Ge­off Par­menter with 42 points ahead of Brett Deu­ble on 38 and Art Howard 37.

Near­est the pins were Brett on 6 and 17, Des McPher­son on 8, John Cameron on 10 and Brent Smith on 13.

Wed­nes­day’s nine-hole sporters was won by John Cameron with 20 points, who also won the near­est the pin on 6.

Thurs­day’s ladies monthly medal spon­sored by Lucy Giles was won by Bev Cowe with net 73 ahead of Tr­ish Landy. Bev won the putting com­pe­ti­tion.

Near­est the pins were Lucy Giles on 6, Christie Bouwkamp on 8 and Jo Con­stan­tine on 13.

Fri­day’s event was won by Brett Deu­ble with 20 points.

Men’s Satur­day monthly medal spon­sored by Steve Har­ris Paint­ing was won by Norm Lock­wood with nett 66 ahead of Keith Gard with 67.

Gross win­ners were A Grade Peter Chris­field 69, B Grade Ian Ste­ley, C Grade Lau­rie Prosser.

Nett win­ners were A Grade Brett Jurie, B Grade Steve Gray, C Grade Alec Ford.

Near­est the pins were Broz Jurie on 6 and 10, Barry Brims on 8, Bruce Cheesman on 13 and Ken Deu­ble on 17.

Satur­day’s Ladies Monthly Medal spon­sored by Carly Q Hair and Make-up was won by Pris Free­man with nett 70 ahead of Bev Cowe nett 76 and in 3rd place Shona Barbour on a count-back to Glenda Chris­tensen. Jo Con­stan­tine won the putting com­pe­ti­tion. Near­est the pins were Bev on 6, Tr­ish Landy on 8 and Shona on 13.

All play­ers en­joyed the Lions Club Char­ity Golf Day on Sun­day, with great weather and plenty of prizes.
