Driver suffers knee injuries as 4WDS collide
A WORK van rear-ended a four-wheeldrive at the intersection of Port Douglas Rd and Crimmins St, last Wednesday afternoon.
The 4WD had stopped to turn onto Crimmins St when the collision occurred.
The whole front of the van was smashed in and the driver of the van, a 21-year-old Mossman man suffered knee injuries, while the driver and passenger in the 4WD from a couple from Hervey Bay suffered minor back injuries and all three were transported to the Mossman Hospital. The 21-year-old driver was charged with careless driving and will appear in the Mossman Magistrate’s court on May 29.
