Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

CARNIVALE is without a doubt my favourite time of the year.

While I certainly don’t get close to going to all the events, there is certainly plenty to go and see and do over the 10 days of fun and festivities.

The Gazette team entered our first float in last year’s street parade and it was such a laugh we couldn’t help but come back for more in 2013.

Our float will certainly not be the flashest one in the parade, but if there’s anyone else having more fun then I wish them all the best.

Saturday’s beach day is a classic event for families to enjoy and soak up the sunshine.

By the time Carnivale wraps up with next Sunday’s seafood extravaganza there would’ve been more than two dozen great events staged.

For a community of this size, that’s a mighty effort and a great achievement for all those involved in the myriad of events.

See you tomorrow night...
