THE Under-11 boys were slow to start again last Saturday, letting Edmonton storm get on top very early in the first half. The only try scored by the Sharks was by Connor Berzinski barging over the line after gathering the ball off a kick by Derrick Sorenson. Coach Bronson Ryan Sr’s words of encouragement must have worked at half time because the boys came out a different team. Halves Pacman and Derrick started feeding backs Nick, Kanju, Zac, Etho and Bronson the ball, getting it wide. There was some excellent running up the middle from forwards Beau, Brayden, Mason, Heath and Connor with Tyrees feeding the ball out from dummy half. The boys’ tackling improves with every game they play, which showed in the second half with Edmonton only scoring once. The final score was 24-4. Thanks to the Under-10 boys for playing up. Man of the match went to Etho Gibson for some great defence.
