Runners for deadly fun
AROUND 60 people took part in the Mossman Deadly Fun Run last Sunday with the majority finishing the race.
The aim of the 3.5km run/ walk from Mossman hospital to the Mossman Gorge church was to encourage people to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
The winner for the junior boys was Jai David with a time of 17mins 20secs ahead of Jayden David (17m39s) and Melekai Williams (21m53s).
Junior girls winner was Vashness Williams in 22m29s, with Shanna David ( 23m10s) in second and Natayah Bowen (25m06s) in third.
The senior women saw Toni Wienert (27m48m) take first, second place went to Marina Peterson (28m04s) and third place to Taraha Peterson (28m46s).
In the senior men first place was Wiley Thorburn ( 18m50s), second place Timmy David (20m29s) and third place went to David Nicholls (26m31s).
The next and final fun run before the Uluru community champion selection will be on Sunday, June 16, starting from the Mossman hospital at 8am and everyone is welcome to participate.
