WHY choose netball as a sport? It is a fun and active sport. I actually think it is the best sport ever, but that’s probably because I’m a bit uncoordinated and can’t play anything else. What do you love most about netball? Everything. It is just a great sport to play. It is a lot of fun, it is a great way to meet new people and make new friends and a fantastic way to keep fit. What is the worst thing about netball? The uniforms, haha. No, the injuries. There are a lot of rolled or sprained ankles and broken fingers. Have you had any injuries? I rolled my ankle in the first couple of minutes of my first game this season, but I soldiered on and kept playing. Who is your netball hero? Probably my mum. She used to play netball and inspired me to play when I was young and showed me how fun it is. How long have you been playing netball? Around five years now, but I have only played two games for the Young Guns as I only moved to Port Douglas six weeks ago from Cairns. What is your ultimate goal in netball? I would like to be part of the Queensland Firebirds some day. Most embarrassing moment on the court? When I was about 11 I fell over on the court and didn’t have my proper netball pants on and everyone saw my undies and to top it off I broke my finger at the same time. Who is your favourite teammate? Raini-Eve, Jade and Savannah because they have all been really nice and welcoming and introduced me to the rest of the team. It has been a good way to start on the team with friends like them.
