The program targets 16 to 18-year-old students and includes six interactive sessions covering topics such as hazard per- ception, distraction management, vehicle safety, stopping distance, fatigue and experiences of a crash survivor.

Students Ebony Barnes and Jacob Crowe said they were very happy to have the opportunity to take part in the session.

‘‘It is a good program, it puts in peoples heads that they could potentially be in an accident and makes them aware,’’ Ebony said.

The program is coordinated locally through the Mossman Rotary Club.
