INTERNATIONAL blues artists Mama K and Stevie T will light up the latest installment Clink Theatre’s courtyard music sessions on Sunday.
The dynamic duo is bringing a blend of smooth original tunes with a cool mix of blues, jazz, contemporary ballads and classic hits to the Clink for the latest courtyard session.
Mama K and Steve T have performed all over the world, with Mama K earning multiple international awards for her roots and blues-based songs and Stevie T, who originally hails from the UK, performing with some of the greats including Grateful Dead guitarist Bobby Weir and Skunk Baxter from the Doobie Brothers as well as being the major support act for Don McLean on most recent Australian tour.
An awe-inspiring vocalist, guitarist and harmonica player, his bluesy sound centres on a variety of stylistic turns to inspire and soothe an audience.
Mama K recently said that musically they fit like a glove.
‘‘We’ve got a great thing going and I can’t wait to get back on the road,’’ she said.
The duo will perform on the outdoor stage for about two hours while punters have the opportunity to relax and socialise in the outdoor amphitheatre.
The bar opens at 6pm and the live music begins at 6.30pm and the audience is encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on.
Tickets are only $10 and the Sunday sessions are held at the Clink Theatre on the first Sunday of each month.
