Ride the rally
JULATTEN State School students and supporters are being encouraged to get on their bikes and peddle for their school and fun on Sunday.
The Julatten State School P & C is holding its bi-annual bike rally, a hugely successful rally for kids of all ages.
There are three different starting points for different age groups - the 11.3km ride from Euluma Creek Rd at Nine Mile end for Years 5, 6 and 7 students, the 8.7km ride from Pinnacle Rd ride for Years 2, 3 and 4 students and the 6.4km ride from Rasmussen Rd for Prep and Year 1 students.
All participants need be at the appropriate starting point by 8.30am to register and Prep and Year 1 students be accompanied by an adult to participate.
There will be marshals all along the route, including the local fire brigade bringing up the rear to ensure all riders complete the course safely.
Once back at Julatten School, there will be a sausage sizzle for only $2, refreshments for $2 and a fun water slide, so kids need to bring a change of clothes.
All children will go in a draw to win a Mongoose bike kindly donated by PD Bikeworks. There will be prizes for best decorated bike for each age group with bike accessories awarded as consolation prizes back at the school.
The school will be using monies raised to buy much- needed playgroup equipment for both the little kids and big kids play areas.
Registration forms are available from the Julatten SS office, PD Bikeworks or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The ride costs $5 per child or $20 for families.
