THE innaugural Taste of Paradise was a hit with food lovers from all over, with over 2000 people making their way to market park for a day of food, glorious food.

Organiser Reina Patrick said the newest event of Carnivale was succesful, ‘‘beyond expectations’’, cementing the future of the fun event in many more Carnivales to come.

‘‘It was fabulous and also successful for the stall holders who said it was worthwhile both financially and from a marketing perspective to be involved,’’ she said.

‘‘The feedback has been hugely positive from guests and every involved and the stage performances were amazing.’’

Celebrity chef Ben O’Donoghue presented a cooking demonstration on the day, along with famous executive chefs from across Port Douglas and Cairns and local producers.
