THE mighty Un­der-8s Port Dou­glas Crocs steamed out of the blocks against the Hawks at the Crocpit on Sun­day. The ball skills were amaz­ing from Big Taj ‘‘Bootsma’’ An­der­son, Luke ‘‘Judd’’ Pul­lan and big bad Jonte ‘‘Robert­son’’ Rev­ell and the aerial skills of Tyler ‘‘Walker’’ An­der­son who took many strong grabs. Up for­ward Gus ‘‘Gar­lett’’ Gaske was slot­ting them through from every­where and was well sup­ported by game day cap­tain Hay­den ‘‘ Mur­phy’’ Caswell. First game player Dar­gan ‘‘Simpson’’ back from in­jury and pro­vid­ing plenty of spark lit­tle Taj ‘‘Gibbs’’ Uw­land. Kalan ‘‘Lu­cas’’ Poole and Mr Smi­ley Jet­son ‘‘Waite’’ Parry had great four quar­ter ef­forts. Down back and through the mid­dle Ethan ‘‘Hen­der­son’’ Scott worked his way into the game and the re­bound­ing ef­forts of Jes­siah ‘‘Arm­field’’ St Pierre, Odhran ‘‘Tuohy’’ and Jai ‘‘McLean’’ Sta­ple­ton pleased the coach­ing staff with there de­fen­sive ef­forts. Coach’s awards went to Hay­den, Jai, Tyler and lit­tle Taj. THE Un­der-10s Crocs had a game of the year per­for­mance against the Hawks at home last week. Both teams showed nu­mer­ous oc­ca­sions of out­stand­ing skills and de­ter­mi­na­tion to get their team on the score­board. The Crocs were a lit­tle slow kick­ing goals in the first half with just one great goal from Slade. The third quar­ter was en­joyed by all with Jake and Daniel snag­ging two goals each for the quar­ter. Goal of the game went to Dal­ton with a run­ning and mark, fol­lowed with a nice straight kick through the two sticks. Player of the day medal went to Daniel Har­ring­ton for im­prov­ing ev­ery week. Macca’s awards were gob­bled up by Dal­ton Wall and Slade ‘‘The Snake’’ Roberts. A bonus Macca’s footy was also handed

out to Tam Nguyen for his hard run­ning and team­work. THE Un­der-14s Crocs played a great game of football on Sun­day. They were un­for­tu­nate not to win against Hawkes with the fi­nal score 3.5.23 to 5.6.36. At half time the scores were level with Bray­don Wall and Char­lie Burns fan­tas­tic in de­fence. Jye West also played one of his best games with some great hand­balling. Goalscor­ers were Ben Muia, Tully Cartwright and Corey Tate. Finn Cameron went off af­ter a spec­tac­u­lar clash but luck­ily he was okay. Best play­ers were Bray­don Wall, Drew Bayne, Hugo Walker and Ben Muia, Jye West. THE Crocs Un­der-18s took on Cen­trals at home un­der lights on Fri­day night. The Crocs started the game at a fast pace with a goal on the board in the first sec­onds. Michael Pid­geon proved to be a solid tar­get up for­ward bag­ging six goals for the night. New player Josh Mor­ri­son dom­i­nated around the ground along with Sam Teakle, Alex Forbes and the hard run­ning broth­ers Michael and Brett McKe­own. With Liam Edwards start­ing in the ruck pro­vided our mid field play­ers Ash­ley David­son, Jake Muia, Art Adam­son and Aaron Marks plenty of ball. Crocs for­ward play­ers Jack Lowe, Chay­sely Nandy and Jack­son Ri­ley where again prov­ing elu­sive in front of goal the team came away with a well de­served win in front of their home crowd. Fi­nal scores were Crocs 17.11.118 de­feated Cen­trals 7.1.43. Goalscor­ers were Michael Pid­geon 6, Chay­sely Nandy 3, Alex Forbes 2, Jack Lowe, Michael McKe­own, Josh Mor­ri­son, Amani An­der­son, Braden Lau­rin and Art Adam­son.
