YATEC - what does it mean to your business?
THE Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) is the peak industry body representing Australia’s $30 billion tourism export sector. ATEC represents more than 800 members across Australia including large national and multinational companies as well as small- and mediumsized enterprises, many of whom are based in regional and remote parts of Australia.
Our members include inbound tour operators and online distributors who connect Australian tourism products with vital distribution channels in key overseas markets. Young ATEC (YATEC) was established to encourage young professionals in the tourism industry to participate in events and voice their concerns on issues that affect the future of tourism exports.
Young ATEC is made up of ATEC members under the age of 35 who are interested in furthering their careers in the tourism industry. Members are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of branch based Educational seminar and networking events. Young ATEC membership is free and i s exclusive to employees of ATEC member companies so why not join and take advantage of the various benefits and opportunities we offer. YATEC Nth QLD branch is coming to Port Douglas on Friday 11 October and holding an event to inform people of the opportunity presented by YATEC.
