Jedd Kemp 13 Mossman Rifle Range

Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette - - CLASSIFIEDS -

I’m still saving up for one. I want a .22 Savage Arms Mark 11. Why that gun? It’s a great gun to start off with, especially for a young person who doesn’t have much experience with a gun. It has no recoil and is fun to shoot. Who is your shooting hero? I look up to all the people at the rifle range, it is a great club to be involved with. What are your shooting aspirations? I just want to make it my hobby, get good at it, and stick with it. How long have you been shooting? I have so far just been doing the targets, but hopefully at the end of this year I will start shooting because I just got my gun licence. How did you get involved with shooting? My mum is friends with Neil and he asked if I wanted to do the targets and I said sure about a year ago. Always wanted to be into shooting and guns and thought it would be fun. What do you like most about shooting? It’s really enjoyable. I think it’s a great hobby to have. It’s kind of social but we are hoping to get more people coming along, especially a younger crowd. What is the hardest thing about shooting? Getting a bullseye time after time. What skills are required to be a good shooter? Accuracy, stability and good concentration skills. Does age play a part in shooting? You need to be 12 or above to be on the range and also to shoot, but I think you pick up and sharpen your skills over time. What type of gun do you use?
