FANCY a day at the Cooktown races, an ocean voyage, a day of pampering and a worthy fundraiser all rolled into one?

Cairns woman Karyn Smith has organised a day to remember at a country race meeting with the aim of raising thousands of dollars for local sufferers of multiple sclerosis. She says the Rotary Cooktown Cup Day on November 9, with return transfers to Cooktown on the Reef Magic, will be a day of fun, fashion, food and flutters. The Reef Magic will depart Cairns at 7.30am and return by 10pm, calling in at Port Douglas if enough people are interested.

Guests will also enjoy a Cooktown sunset, complimentary sundowner, nib- bles and entertainment from singer Darrin Leonard on the return voyage. The day costs $285 or $2650 for groups of 10 and bookings close tomorrow (Friday, October 4).
