Expo set to get you right
THIS year’s Health and Wellbeing Expo is set to be bigger and better, with a wide range of services and information on display on keeping happy and healthy in the Douglas region.
A large number of stalls with information and displays on physical and emotional wellbeing, volunteering, leisure, exercise, massage, crafts, cancer council, KIND and ENJO cleaning products, to name just a few.
Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre, in conjunction with Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, Cairns Regional Council and the Douglas Community Agency Network are inviting the community to be part of the Health & Wellbeing Expo, Saturday, October 12 at George Davis Park, in Mossman from 9am to 1pm.
The Expo, themed Healthy Mind, Body & Soul, coincides with Mental Health Week and aims to inform the community about various activities and services in Douglas promoting emotional and physical wellbeing and healthy and active lifestyles for families and individuals of all ages.
Tanya Morris from the Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre said this year will be a great expo.
‘‘This year there are a diverse range of stalls and services for people to try and learn about,’’ she said.
‘‘There will be fun for all ages and activities to participate in and enjoy.
‘‘Entertainment will be ongoing throughout the day.
‘‘We also have a few surprises up our sleeves.’’
Head down to George Davis Park in Mossman on Saturday to see the range of stalls from 9am 1pm.
