Main course for the hungry
MOSSMAN Golf Club’s new restaurant Nine and Dine has gone off with a bang, feeding hungry golfers and visitors alike.
Nine and Dine is open three nights a week and for lunch six days a week to the public, offering high quality meals at reasonable prices.
The club has seating for up to 80 people, and in the weeks since its opening has been seeing around 50 people per night.
Chef Michael Radburnd said the eatery has been well received by customers.
‘‘It has been really good so far, we’ve had great booking numbers,’’ he said.
‘‘The locals are pleased and we are getting really positive feedback from our customers.’’
While retaining old favourites like steak, fish and chips and burgers, there is a bit of everything else also from pasta to Thai curries.
‘‘The fish and chips and steak are proving to be favourites with diners, and the sticky date pudding has been selling well.
‘‘We will probably look at changing the menu in three months. We might take off the meals that are not as popular and replace them with something new, keep things fresh.
‘‘We have really aimed at providing a menu to suit all tastes.
‘‘Members and the committee have made me feel very welcome, I really enjoy it here.
‘‘ We are open to suggestions, so we encourage people to let us know if they think there is something that can be improved upon.’’
Nine and Dine can cater for a light snack after a round of golf all the way up to weddings and birthdays.
The kitchen is open Tuesday to Sunday lunch 11.30-2 and Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5-8.
